Gorgeous Dykes to Release New Single, “Diablo Creek,” on December 17th, 2021

Clearly not concerned with serious types who might be turned off by their vibrant use of color and maximalist, feminine imagery, Diablo Creek is at its core, a defiant song for those who are tired of enduring and just want to have a good time.
Channeling their affection for the stylish and kick-ass energy of magical girls, they sing about celebrating their love for one another against all the trials, tribulations and the many forces of evil in this world.
Luscious synths bounce all over the track, giving way for dynamic overtures to come in and shake things up further. Fierce and eccentric guitars catapult the listener deeper into the house mood of the song, all while grooving alongside a funky bass.
Fans can still expect the grooviness of Deee-Lite, the sleek, understated vocals of Gina X Performance and the commanding basslines of ESG but with a new synth sound that switches things up from their previous releases.
Gorgeous Dykes was formed in 2018. In 2019 they released their first EP, “Gorgeous!,” followed by two singles in 2020. They’ve been covered on Bandcamp’s New and Notable, The Deli and Wussy Magazine. The duo will be livestreaming throughout 2022, and will tour supporting the album within the next year.
